THERE has been for ages the allegations that there were attempts to Islamise Nigeria, even though the allegers have never provided any evidence of their allegation.
MOST of the times, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), an irredentist organisation, and some individuals of questionable integrity, have been in the forefront of the accusation, providing baseless evidence to back the claims.
THE irredentist organisation, which is backed by financial support by its members local and in the diaspora, maintains the myth that there is an ongoing killing of Christians in Nigeria so as to ‘Islamise’ the country. The organisation is from an area notorious for its anti Islamic stance, and rhetorics.
AND the individuals included ungodly people like Reverend Father Hassan Mathew Kukah, who always go to town crying ‘Islamisation Agenda’, with a view to attract local money, as well as foreign dollars ($s) to ‘fight’ the nonexistent agenda.
NIGERIAN Muslims have NEVER cried that the country was going to be Christianised even in the face of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime’s lopsided appointments in favour of Christians.
HIS appointments and his National Honours List favour one faith well over the other. The RATIO is about 80% for Christians and 20% for Muslims, which is NOT FAIR at all.
MOREOVER, most vacant National offices of high worth are AUTOMATICALLY given to a Christians by the Tinubu administration, with the subtle agenda to disfavour Islam.
NOW coming out with its BOMBSHEL, CAN has HOWEVER, said UNAMBIGUOUSLY that the Nigerian Muslims do NOT have any agenda to Islamise the country. What is INDEED working out is the INSIDIOUS United States (US) Agenda, supported by some Western countries, to PITCH Muslims Against their Nigerian Christian compatriots with a view to warding off attention from Israel’s POGROM in GAZA.
IN a statement recently, the Christian umbrella group said that the insurgency in Nigeria was created, funded and fuelled by outsiders to destabilise the country. It added that there was no TRUTH in the claim by the Western World that there is a deliberate plot by Muslims to eliminate Christians from the country.
THE firebrand Chief Femi Fani Kayode, a past Minister of Aviation, came out spitting fire, saying ALSO that the insecurity in Nigeria has nothing to do with Muslims, but everything to do with the machinations of the Western World, with a view to cast Nigeria as enmeshed in the crisis of Christian cleansing by their Muslim compatriots.
IN his characteristic long article, he stated that the outlaws KILL as many Muslims as they kill Christians, and that most of them are not MUSLIMS, but none Muslim FOREIGNERS whose purpose is to cause confusion in Nigeria for their foreign paymasters.
A FORMER National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) CONSULTANT, a Nigerian Professor Philip Chidi Njemanze, MD, alleged that the owners of the modern day GMO companies were responsible for the fatal banditry that is ravaging the North West, with all the victims coming from seed growing communities.
Professor Philip Chidi Nzemanje noted that “from 2015-2018, the Boko Haram and the so-called Fulani bandits have killed at least,37,500 farmers. Of these,32,000 or 85% were Muslims and 5,500 or 15% were Christians. In a state like Zamfara, 60% of victims were Hausa and 40% Fulani,reflecting the general population.
AN Igbo Muslim lady went even to the extent of mentioning former US President Barrack Obama of the Democratic Party, and Hillary Clinton, a onetime Democrat Presidential candidate, as the CREATORS of the BOKO HARAM, adding that the INSURGENCY in the country, particularly in the North West, affects MORE Muslims than it does Christians.
“SO it is now that the West, led by the US, is in LOVE with us that they are telling the Nigerian Christians that that the Nigerian Muslims do not like to see them on the face of the earth”? “Nonsense, the West is not INTERESTED in Nigeria, but in its INTEREST.”
A ranking member of the US Congress once told a PUBLIC HEARING that “BOKO HARAM, and other outlaw groups were COVERTLY created by the US”. Now, the popular NEW narrative in the US Congress is that there is “an ongoing Christian cleansing in Nigeria by their Muslim compatriots”.
MAY God make Nigeria, and Africa as a whole, escape the NEVER-ENDING EVIL machinations of the west, and allow them to get away from the yoke of domination that the West has created for the Continent.
